Privacy Notice

How Oprendia Advisory collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit our website or contact us.

This Privacy Notice explains how Oprendia Advisory ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit oprendia.com, submit an enquiry, or subscribe to our newsletter.

We serve clients in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and elsewhere. We aim to handle personal information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) and the Australian Privacy Principles, as applicable.

Who we are

Oprendia Advisory is responsible (the "controller") for the personal information described in this notice.

If you have any questions about this notice or how we use your information, please contact us at the email address above.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you complete our enquiry form or contact us by email, we may collect:

  • your first and last name
  • your business email address
  • your phone or WhatsApp number (optional)
  • your company name and website
  • any other information you choose to share about your business or enquiry
  • whether you have agreed to receive our newsletter

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring website and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through website analytics and security tools described below.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive personal information (such as health or financial account details) or confidential customer records.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and arrange an introductory call
  • provide, scope and deliver our services if you become a client
  • keep a record of our communications with you
  • send you occasional newsletters, where you have opted in
  • understand how our website is used so we can improve it
  • protect our website and forms from spam, abuse and security threats
  • comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations

Our legal basis (UK and EU)

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries, managing our business relationships, improving our website and keeping it secure.
  • Contract — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and delivering agreed services.
  • Consent — sending newsletters and using non-essential cookies or analytics, where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — keeping records required by law.

Newsletters and marketing

We only send newsletters if you tick the opt-in box on our form or otherwise agree to receive them. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by emailing hello@oprendia.com.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our website and business, and only as needed for the purposes above. These include:

  • Brevo — form handling, email delivery and newsletter management
  • Cloudflare — website hosting, security and spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
  • Google Analytics — website usage statistics
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) and business email tools — to record and manage enquiries and client communications

We may also share information with professional advisers (such as accountants or lawyers), or where required by law or to protect our rights.

International transfers

Some of our service providers are based in, or process data in, countries outside the UK, the European Economic Area or Australia, including the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent protections offered by the provider.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential — needed for security and spam protection, including on our enquiry form.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand how visitors use the website. The information is aggregated and does not directly identify you.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop some parts of the website, such as the enquiry form, from working correctly.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it:

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work — usually up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
  • Client records — for the duration of our relationship and for as long as required afterwards for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data — according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

How we protect your information

We use reputable service providers and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect the information you share with us.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • ask us to delete your information
  • object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing
  • ask us to transfer your information to another organisation
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@oprendia.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We aim to respond within one month.

  • United Kingdom — Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), ico.org.uk
  • Ireland — Data Protection Commission (DPC), dataprotection.ie
  • Australia — Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), oaic.gov.au
